4 Healthy & Refreshing Summer Mocktails

Who doesn't love sipping a cold beverage on a hot summer day? Summer drinks are often loaded with sugary fruit juices and alcohol and are far from healthy. (Did you know that one margarita contains over 700 calories and a pina colada contains 32 grams of sugar?!) Instead of downing these high-calorie, sugary drinks, try out these 4 simple, healthy and refreshing, non-alcoholic recipes to keep you cool by the pool or at the beach all summer long!

These recipes are perfect to make when hosting an outdoor party or barbeque. They are also a fun, fancy-looking drink that kids can enjoy without all the added sugar! (If you want to splurge, are over 21, and responsible - add an ounce of organic vodka for a low-calorie adult beverage.)


Coconut Watermelon Mocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chilled Coconut La Croix

  • 1/2 cup organic watermelon juice (or fresh-pressed watermelon)

  • 1/2 lime (freshly squeeze the juice)

  • slice of lime and watermelon for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a glass and enjoy!

 

Sparkling Lime "No"-Jito

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 mint sprigs

  • 1 lime, sliced into wedges

  • 2 packets organic stevia

  • 1 can chilled Lime La Croix

  • slice of lime for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Muddle mint in cocktail shaker with squeezed limes and stevia. Pour into a tall glass over ice and add the sparkling water!

 





Blackberry Lime Agua Fresca

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint organic blackberries

  • 1/2 lime (freshly squeeze the juice)

  • 1 can chilled Lime La Croix

  • 1-2 packets organic stevia

  • fresh mint leaves for ganish (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher over ice and serve with mint garnish!

 

Strawberry Lemon Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chilled Lemon La Croix

  • 1 TBSP mashed strawberries

  • 2 TBSP sliced strawberries

  • 1/2 cup crushed ice

  • Stevia sweetener to taste (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a glass. Add stevia to taste and enjoy!
